Like Alibaba, JD.com has seen its share price higher in the past. With the Chinese economy contracting, is JD.com a good bet? That depends upon China
In early March, JD.com financials were released and the stock surged from $21.50 per share up to $28.50 per share - a solid 32.50% in a few days’ time. JD.com management is pushing for continued restructuring to cut costs and focus on core business enterprises that add growth, and thereby add shareholder value. Where does JD.com stock - JD stock, go from here? Is there actual value within the company that could propel the stock higher?
To understand investing in China right now is to understand growth potential within the economy. Then, stocks that were once high-flying would need to attract outside investors to see their share prices moving back upward. But, these two sentences are multi-fold and not simple.
